Cetec ERP Release 4.09

We are very excited to announce that Cetec ERP 4.09 has been released to BETA!

Cetec ERP 4.09 will be rolled out to LIVE cloud environments mid March 2023. We are looking forward to seeing our customers take advantage of the number of New features in Cetec ERP 4.09, all geared to make daily tasks simpler and teams more efficient!

Below are the new features included in Cetec ERP 4.09

Major new features:

Re-write of underpinnings of reporting in Cetec ERP. You will now see “new version” on numerous reports in Cetec ERP. Eventually, these will become the default version. To set all your reports to use the new version by default, set the config setting “Use New Lists” to 1 (to turn it ON). Features in the new version of reports:

  • Speed! New versions of reports load instantaneously (instead of having to wait many seconds for page loads). E.g. in some environments, the Production Order List would take between 20 and 100 seconds to load. In the new version, it loads immediately!
  • Columns may be re-ordered via drag and drop! Simply click and hold any column and drag it to the left or right.
  • Column sort ascend/descend occurs instantaneously instead of requiring a long page load time to reload the report.

Other enhancements:

New Progress Invoice controls. If you are using the “Progress Billing” (milestone invoices) feature on any order, this will lock you in to using Progress Invoices to invoice the entirety of the order. For example, if your order is for $100, and you Progress Invoice for $50. Then, if you attempt to ship $75 out of $100, the system will block your shipment, and require that you first Progress Invoice an additional $25 (making the total of all Progress invoices $75) so that you can ship up to $75. You may only ship up to what has been progress invoiced for.

  • On Project Billing Module: updated project Accruals functionality to give better visibility to project cost and resale accrued.
  • Total Accruals section will now accrue ‘real time’ cost on internal build to stock orders, charge orders, and external sales orders. This is based on when labor is logged to an order and when materials are picked.
  • Total Accruals section previously included Resale accrual on both external and internal orders. It will now exclude resale for internal orders, and only show accrued resale on external orders. This is now also based on order line sum resale, rather than ‘remaining open’ on the order.
  • Invoice accruals have been broken out to show cost for internal invoices and external invoices to better highlight actual cost. Invoice resale will only be accrued by external invoices.
  • Purchase Orders will show all Purchase Orders linked to the project, whether received or not to give a full picture of inventory purchased for that project.

  • The rollup summarized estimated manufacturing cost on BOM Overview (labor, overhead, outsource, and material costs, including any subassembly rollup costs) is now included in the costing engine hierarchy for Default Cost, and will be used after Last Resort Cost.

  • For orders with different Ship Via methods across different lines, you are now no longer required to edit the order header so that Order Header Ship Via matches all lines’ Ship Via in order to be allowed to ship/invoice. Instead, if all lines set to ship have matching Ship Via’s, then the system will simply honor the line-level Ship Via even if it differs from the Order Header Ship Via.

  • New Export CSV functionality exists on the PQuote PDF view screen, allowing you to export PQuote into a CSV or Excel file.

  • Resale and cost breaks can now be defined per LNAME warehouse location. This means default part/item pricing can now be defined per company/site/location.

  • Part Notification capability is now supported for warehouse transfers.

  • EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) number is now supported in the ShipEngine integration.

  • New component consolidation feature on order-specific BOM maintenance screen will combine like parts, and sum qty need on the order. This will reflect on the Pick Parts screen, and related pick list documents.

  • Change to the Account Reconcile list will invert symbols for credit/liability accounts to match the Account Reconcile edit page, along with a hover tip to clarify what the displayed values represent.

  • Speed optimization on BOM Edit screen.

  • You can now delete/drop line items from Bill Only invoices.

  • New config ‘Pick Parts - Order by First Bin’ lets you sort Pick Parts screen by bins per prcpart to show bins in ascending order based on qty in the bin qty.

  • System will now prevent you from deleting an invoice line if that invoice has already been paid, even if only partially paid.

  • Bonus columns on Customer records and “Customer Association” fields (e.g. inside sales, outside sales, etc.) on Customer records will now autopopulate Bill Only invoices when a Bill Only invoice is created for a customer when the bonus column is mapped to ‘Quote’.

  • When splitting an ordline with work entries clocked/scanned onto the work order, the split screen will now give the user an option to select all work to be moved, rather than just selecting work time entries individually.

  • Part revision “Created On” and “Created By” fields have been added to the Part Revision page, and will display as a hover tip. Note: This will not retroactively update/display data created prior to this release, and will only apply to new data created.
