Cubic Feet as a UOM
A customer wanted to know how to set up their pick parts to consume a certain material by the cubic foot.
Is this something Cetec ERP can handle? Absolutely!
Here’s how to do it:

Set up cubic feet as a unit of measurement (UOM) in Cetec. a. Navigate to Admin > Maintenance > Data Maintenance b. Search for “UOM.” c. Click into the UOM link. d. Click the blue Add Record button. e. Add an abbreviation and description to your UOM data maintenance table.
Here’s an example:
f. Click the orange Submit button to add this new record.

Go to the raw material part number(s) and assign your new UOM to that part. a. Navigate to the part record. b. Click Edit in the left side menu. c. In the UOM field, select your new cubic feet option from the drop-down menu.
d. Click the orange Update button.

When this part is added to a BOM revision, its qty per top will now show up in cubic feet. This may be a decimal if it’s a fractional amount of cubic feet.
This is the same process you would use to create and assign other new units of measurement (UOMs) in Cetec.
