1. Click on the Invoice/Ship link on the left side of either the order or the work order screen.
2. Go to the Ship Quantity field and enter the partial ship quantity.
3. If the ship quantity field is grayed out because no parts have yet been picked, have a user with the Admin role click Admin, then Config Settings, then Config Settings.
4. Find the setting "Allow No Parts Picked for Invoice Creation," set its value to 1, and click Set.
5. Go back to the order Invoice/Ship screen and refresh the screen (click ctrl + r) so the Ship Quantity field can be edited.
6. Enter your partial ship quantity and click Update.
7. In the pop-up window, choose how to adjust the quantity to relieve.
8. When shipping only part of an order, first set the ship quantity on the Invoice/Ship screen of the order; this has the same effect as going to the Warehouse tab, then Release to Pick, and releasing a partial quantity to be picked.
9. To use another option, split the order line before picking parts by clicking Workorder View + on the left side of the order screen, then clicking the line number (or the number link on the order line).
10. On the work order screen, click Maint/Etc + on the left and then click Split Line.
11. Enter the quantity to move onto a second line and click Split.
12. In the pop-up window, review the options for how to adjust the quantity to relieve; available options depend on configuration settings.
13. To control which options appear, have an Admin click Admin, then Config Settings, then Config Settings, and search for "Allow Calculate Component Relieve Qty from Ship Qty X QtyPerTop."
14. Enter the desired value for that setting based on the description key and click Set.
15. Return to the Split Line screen, enter the quantity for the new line, click Split, and review the choices for how to adjust the quantity to relieve.
16. Use Scale to Pick if your business deals in indeterminate quantities of BOM components and you pick what you can, adjusting quantities as needed.
17. With Scale to Pick, Cetec ERP uses the equation pick quantity (new ship quantity/old ship quantity) to relieve components proportionally.
18. Use Scale to BOM if your components are consumed in whole number quantities and you want the system to relieve full component need for the shipped line.
19. With Scale to BOM, Cetec ERP uses the equation quantity per top of components * ship qty to relieve inventory.
20. After splitting a line and choosing Scale to BOM, ship the new split line from Invoice/Ship rather than line 1 to ensure components relieve properly.
21. Enter the ship quantity for the new split line and click Update.
22. Review how Cetec ERP will relieve component quantities for the shipped assemblies.
23. Be aware that shipping line 1 without fully picking the order may only relieve a portion of components because the system prioritizes the newly split line.
24. Use Don’t Scale when components have been broken in the assembly process but should still be charged to the cost of the job.
25. Decide whether to set a partial ship quantity directly or split the order into separate lines and choose how Cetec ERP should relieve inventory based on your business process.
