- In Cetec, you can pull changes made on a BOM revision to the permanent BOM revision if you choose to do so.
- You can also do the opposite by pushing a BOM revision from the permanent record to a quote.
- If you add a BOM to a quote line, with the transcode “Build,” and then click into the BOM quote worksheet, there a two buttons in the header that apply.
- “Refresh BOM” pulls the data from the permanent BOM Revision down to populate the quote.
- If you add a new component to the BOM worksheet and you want to push this data up to the permanent BOM Revision, you would click “Commit BOM.”
- If you didn’t want this added component after all, you would simply delete it, then click “Commit BOM,” and your changes will be updated.
- On the BOM quote worksheet, you can click the “Update Order/Temp BOM Only” checkbox, which ensures these changes are only on the quote, not the revision.
- If you fail to check this box, the quote-level revision data will pull to the permanent revision when you commit this quote to order.
- You can set the default behavior by navigating to Admin»Config Settings»Config Settings»search “BOM Quote - Default ‘Update Order/Temp Bom Only’ To Yes”
- Enter a 1 if you want Cetec to default to avoid pulling the quote revision to the permanent revision when you commit an order.
