Cetec ERP Release 4.14
We are excited to announce that Cetec ERP 4.14 has been released to BETA!
Cetec ERP 4.14 will be rolled out to LIVE cloud environments in May 2024. We are looking forward to seeing our customers take advantage of the number of new features in Cetec ERP 4.14, all geared to make daily tasks simpler and teams more efficient!
Major new features:
-
A/P By Vendor and A/P Summary reports have been consolidated into a single “A/P Summary (By Vendor)” report to increase speed and load-time of the report.
-
A/R By Customer and A/R Summary reports have been consolidated into a single “A/R Summary (By Customer)” report to increase speed and load-time of the report.
-
Ability to configure +/- Columns now exists on the receiving screen. Added Part Desc, OEM Part #, Manf Part #, Manfacturer, and Vendor Part # from the PO Line.
-
Cetec ERP now supports immediate expensing of non-inventory PO Line Receipts (e.g. “receiving” office supplies or a delivered service) to the GL expense account of your choosing (set via GL mappings » Receipt mappings).
- Previously, receiving a non-inventory PO Line wouldn’t create any G/L posting at all; no accrual GL posting nor expense posting would occur at the time of non-inventory receipt. (instead, it was expected that non-inventory purchase receipt accruals (non-inventory goods received not invoiced) would be tracked via the PO Receipt List (with non-inventory filter = yes) instead of the balance sheet or G/L.
- Now, you can set a GL mapping to post a non-inventory receipt immediately to the GL, i.e. to immediately post the expense and accrual to the ledger. To do so, have your accountant or financial auditor review the “Non-Inventory Receipts (Debit At Receipt, Credit at Voucher)” config setting. If you leave this unset, the behavior will fail over to NOT post (or, more specifically, to post in/out of the same accrual account creating a net-zero balance) at time of non-inventory receipt, just like it did before version 4.14.
Other new features:
-
New Bookmark Tool! Bookmarks will now be available from the homepage in a dashboard widget.
-
Added Shelf Life column to the List by Bin Report.
-
A new tax type called “Externally Tracked” is now available as override option on Order Edit. Previously an order could only be set to “Taxable” or “Non-Taxable” and would inherit from that order’s customer’s default Taxable yes/no setting. Now, an order will still inherit taxable yes/no from the customer, but may be overridden by setting the taxable yes/no flag to a third option called “externally tracked”. This lets tax $ amount be manually entered onto the order instead of being derived from a Tax Group/Rate % from the order ship-to address. This setting may also be useful (i.e. to set via API) if you are importing orders from an E-Commerce platform where tax rates are externally tracked.
-
Part request approval threshold settings may now be set via API.
-
For work orders that have been assigned (via Workflow module) to a certain user’s “task queue”, when that user reviews “my tasks”, there is now a “log time” shortcut. A user may click this link to log-time to a work order directly from the “My Tasks” module.
-
You may now create a one-off vendor PQuote/PO and flag it as “outsource”. Additionally, PQuotes/POs flagged as outsource will enable you to search for and link a specific work order (order line item) to an outsource PQuotes/PO line from the Line Add / Line Edit maintenance of an Outsource PO.
-
BOMs will now display Part Spec Group “Name” instead of merely the Part Spec Group ID.
-
AP Payments now include a new field and account mapping for payment processing fees, bank fees, etc. This allows you to add a $___ processing fee across multiple invoices, increasing the amount of cash posting out of your checking/cash account to cover the amount of the processing fee in addition to the AP invoices you are paying. Be aware of an additional mapping option in GL Mappings>AP Payment.
-
Pricing Rules now support quantity breaks. You can input a quantity range across which a particular pricing rule may apply; leave qty fields blank if you want the rule to apply to any quantity.
-
PO Receipts List report is now filterable by the date a PO Line Receipt was vouchered (invoiced); this is helpful when reconciling accrued liabilities (accrued purchases) of goods received not invoiced.
-
There is now a config setting to block order entry if a customer is on credit hold due to unpaid invoices beyond the customer’s credit limit, even if a customer’s credit code is still “good” and not yet set to restricted. To enable this behavior, set config setting “prevent_credit_hold_order_entry” to ‘1’ to turn on.
-
Minimum order quantity (MOQ) settings on items are now supported for “build to stock” items; however, to utilize MOQ for build-to-stock items, use the “Purchasing MOQ” field on the Prcpart record, NOT the MOQ field.
