Track CRM Tasks with More Clarity: Note Reminder Enhancements in v4.20
In Cetec ERP, Reminders are a specific type of Note and a tool for flagging an action item tied to a customer, order, part, or any other record in the system. They’re heavily used in CRM to track follow-ups, conversations, and task history, but they’re also useful across departments.
A recent enhancement now makes it easier to manage those Reminders in real time by helping users keep their task lists up to date and actionable.
What’s New?
Mark Reminders as Complete
You can now mark a Reminder as “Complete” from two places:
- When editing the Note directly for the new version of the notes tab
- From the new version of the My Tasks dashboard
This eliminates ambiguity, no more wondering whether a follow-up call or review task was handled. When you mark it complete, it’s clear to anyone looking at the record.
Filter Reminder Status in My Tasks
The new version of the My Tasks screen now supports filtering by Reminder status:
- Incomplete
- Complete
- All
This lets you quickly home in on what still needs attention, while still being able to review completed items if needed.
Why This Matters
For Sales teams, Reminders help manage and follow through on customer communications, everything from quoting deadlines to scheduled check-ins.
With these updates:
- Reminders are no longer just “open-ended notes” they’re now task-driven and closeable
- Sales reps can track and complete items as they go, keeping their task list clean
- Managers gain better visibility into task progress, reducing the risk of missed steps
Beyond CRM: Cross-Department Use
While most Reminders start in the CRM, any Note in Cetec ERP can include a Reminder. That means these enhancements can help teams beyond Sales:
- Engineering can use Reminders to track ECO reviews or drawing updates
- Production can flag follow-ups for rework instructions or pending QA sign-off
- Purchasing can note follow-up dates for supplier quotes or delivery confirmations
Reminders can now be tracked more easily.
How to Use It
- Open My Tasks from the dashboard or top menu
- Use filters to view only incomplete Reminders or view everything at once
- When you complete a Reminder task, click into the Note and mark it Complete
- You can also complete Reminders directly from the Note detail view without going to My Tasks.
Key Takeaway
These small changes bring real utility. With Reminder completion and filtering, it’s easier to stay on top of task-related Notes across the system, especially in CRM, where actionable follow-up is essential.
If your team relies on Notes to track work, these updates will help you act on them more clearly and confidently.
