  • The first step is to navigate to the workorder and make sure youre using the new version.
  • Click into the Serials option on the left hand navigation menu.
  • Issue serials to your parts on the workorder by using the Issue Serials field and hitting submit.
  • These serials will show up under the Top Level Serial History For 131.1 Line: 1 subsection.
  • Navigate back to the workorder view page by clicking workorder on the left hand navigation menu.
  • Click the Start Work button to pull up the start work edit popup.
  • Click the blue Add Serials button.
  • Click the Serial Search dropdown to populate the serials you just made.
  • Select the serial(s) you want and click the blue Add button.
  • Youll see the serials are now included if theyre surrounded by a blue border and a red 1 bubble above the Add Serials button.
  • Youre ready to hit the Start Work button now to log time to that specific serialized prcpart!
    • Note: logging time using a specific serial will force you to finish pieces per serial. One piece per serial that youve assigned.
  • You can also log time to serials using the Or Add Time & Close At Once feature on the start work screen.
  • Click the Start Work button.
  • Scroll down to the Or Add Time & Close At Once subsection of the screen.
  • Designate a duration/time, and select the (Add Serials) hyperlink below the pieces field.
  • Click into the Serial Search field to populate your serials and select the ones to log time to.
    • Note: this will grey out the pieces field, and designate one piece per serial assigned.
  • Input your comments and click Submit to post the duration you provided, to the specific serial that you assigned.
  • This allows you to batch log time to multiple serials at once!
  • There are multiple places you can see where time has been logged to a specific serial.
  • The first being the History tab of the workorder itself. Look under the Work History subsection » Serials column.
  • The second being the View Work report - we now have a designated serial column indicating the serial that was assigned to the prcpart on the workorder.
