In Cetec ERP, Security by Role config settings are functions that you can set to allow or block certain features or areas. There is always an allow and block for each security by role. This is designed so you can give users the access you want them to have, creating custom roles or role groups. Common security by roles used are Can See Cost, Can See Resale, Can Edit Customer Terms, Can Edit Quote/Order Terms, and Can Edit PQuote/PO Terms.

Here is how to find and use the Security by Role config settings:

• There are 2 places you can access security by role. The first is Admin> Users> Security by Role. The second is in the regular config settings page under Admin> Config Settings> Config Settings.
• You can search in both of those places to find whatever setting you are looking for.
• Once you find the setting you can add roles to either the block or allow setting. To add multiple roles, comma separate them.
