• After you’ve committed a quote to order and in the work order view, you may want to pull materials, labor plan, and revision data from the permanent BOM record to the order-specific BOM.
  • In the quote phase, you could pull data from the permanent record to the quote-specific BOM and vice-versa; once you’re in a committed order, it’s a one-way street.
  • You can pull data from the permanent BOM record to the order-specific BOM, but not the other way around.
  • To do this, let’s start by looking at materials. Go to “Maint/Etc+”, then click “BOM Management.”
  • Let’s say you want to add the components of this BOM or another BOM to the components you already see listed here under the order-specific BOM.
  • You would choose the BOM whose components you would want to add and then click “Add BOM Components.”
  • If you want to fully wipe and replace the order-specific BOM with the permanent BOM you would click “Replace Order Specific BOM.”
  • Note: Cetec will prevent you from doing this if there are parts picked on the workorder; you would need to unpick those first.
  • Next, let’s look at how to pull permanent BOM data when it comes to labor plans. Click Maint/Etc+, then click “Labor Plan Management.”
  • In this example, you do not have a labor plan set for this order and you’d like to pull the permanent labor plan to use here.
  • To do that, click “Replace Order Specific Labor Plan.”
  • Lastly, let’s look at how to change which BOM Revision is being used for an order. Click “Maint/Etc+,” then click “Change Rev.”
  • Here you can see the current revision being used in the order.
  • To change revisions, go down to “Existing Revisions” and choose the Revision that you want to use on this order. To confirm, click “Change Rev.”
  • Another way to change revisions is to go from the workorder back to the original order.
  • Click “Overview,” then “Edit,” and on the order line, you can select a new revision.
