Labor tracking is a cornerstone of modern manufacturing management that bridges the gap between the shop floor and the front office by moving away from manual, error-prone paper travelers. Cetec ERP allows you to take and transform this process into a fully integrated digital environment.

In Cetec ERP, you will be able to easily create a production set-up where labor paths, labor estimates, and labor cost estimates can be created, all at the same time. This paves the way for exact time and cost estimations for the labor required by creating an entire router while including all time and cost projections within the same process.

Labor plans are controlled and created individually on BOM revisions, including the original BOM. To revise a labor plan, you will need to find yourself in one of three places - the BOM edit screen, on a BOM quote or BOM worksheet, or on a Work Order. A labor plan can even be modified using our order specific bidding and estimating tool, seen below.

Note that the labor plan that you create will be permanently associated with the BOM. Changes made in any of the three contexts listed above will translate to the other two instances of labor plan revisions.

Once you enter the production order, Cetec ERP will extract the labor schedule from the BOM and lock it into an order. In the case you subsequently modify the master BOM's labor schedule or times, the alterations will affect future orders but NOT the current order. This retains the original labor plan for an active order using that same BOM revision. As a result, an alteration to a labor schedule in the middle of the production cycle does not affect your cost targets or labor flow for a partially completed order.

To create an accurate time and cost estimate for your labor plans, Cetec ERP will save the records of originally quoted labor costs that are passed to an order, as well as originally quoted labor estimates, and will run those estimates against the actual time and labor that is tracked. In the case you quote a BOM that already has a permanent labor plan set, and you do not enter a labor estimate, Cetec ERP will pull the existing BOM labor estimate into the order when you commit a quote to order.

Cetec ERP uses real time tracking from your work orders, and produces labor tracking that can help you hone in on exact time and costing estimates. This estimate vs actual helps to create an accurate estimate for yourself, especially on the costing side of things, and gives you the opportunity to properly and accurately convey lead times and pricing estimates to your customers.
