Unpicking Parts from a Closed Work Order
A customer wants to deactivate a part record, but can’t due to there being parts picked on an order.
Except that order is closed!
This is an issue we have seen a few times, parts being picked on an order that is already closed. When this happens, it won’t let us unpick the parts.
We have not been able to recreate this or figure out what causes it, but we do have a workaround.
Click the order number to go to the workorder (the order listed with “unpick” next to it)
In the URL, manually change it from “…/pick_parts” to “…/dekit”
On the dekit screen, click the dekit button
Go back to the part record and confirm that the pick record is no longer showing.
With this scenario after they got the parts unpicked, they had to also do an inventory adjustment of QOH to 0, in order to deactivate the part record.
