• Permission to view the record, page, or action you want to use. The palette only displays navigation pages you can access. Some create options also depend on your permissions.

Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows or Linux. You can also select the search icon in the site header.

The palette opens with the cursor in the search field.

1. Open the command palette.
2. Type an identifying value, such as an order number, quote number, part number, or customer name.
3. Select a result with the mouse or the arrow keys.
4. Press Enter to open the selected record.

If you type a value and no result is selected, pressing Enter opens the standard jump-to search for that value. Hold Cmd or Ctrl while opening a selected result to open it in a new browser tab.

Type @ as the first character to enter command mode. The palette shows the

available command categories.

• To create a record type @create then choose the record type and complete it's form.
• To open a page type @nav then type part of the page's name or menu path and select it.

You can type a short prefix instead of the full command. For example, @cr finds Create and @create q narrows the list to record types that start with q.

Use the arrow keys to move through command results. Tab also moves forward through the list. Press Enter or Space to choose the highlighted command.

• Quote
• PQuote
• Task
• Part
• Work Order
• Vendor
• Expense
• Reminder

3. Fill in the form that opens in the palette.

4. Press Cmd+Enter or Ctrl+Enter to submit, or use the form's normal submit control.

The form stays in the palette, so you do not need to leave the page where you started. Select Back above the form to return to the record-type list.

Quote and PQuote forms keep the information you entered if you close and reopen the palette during the same browser session. Select Back from one of those forms to discard its saved draft and choose a different record type.

1. Open the palette and type @nav.
2. Add part of a page name or its menu path. For example, type @nav sales, @nav quote, or @nav sales -> quotes.
3. Select the page you want and press Enter.

Search matches anywhere in the complete menu breadcrumb, such as Sales -> Quotes -> Quote List. This helps distinguish pages with similar names. The palette shows up to 20 matching pages.

Only pages available to your current role, ERP configuration, and account are returned. If a page is missing, use the normal menu to confirm whether you have access, then ask your ERP administrator if you believe the access should be granted.

The key and what it does

Cmd+K / Ctrl+K - Open or close the command palette.

@ - Switch from record search to command mode.

Arrow Down / Arrow Up - Move through results.

Tab - Move forward through command or navigation results.

Enter - Open the highlighted search result, page, or command.

Space - Choose the highlighted Create command or record type.

Cmd+Enter / Ctrl+Enter - Submit the open create form.

Check the number or name you entered, then try a shorter identifying value. Results respect your role and record-access permissions, so records you cannot view will not appear. If you expect access, contact your administrator.

Try a word from a higher-level menu category as well as the page name. For example: search for sales instead of only orders. If it still does not appear, the page may be disabled by your configuration or unavailable to your role.

Some options are limited by permissions. For example, Vendor requires permission to edit vendors, and Expense and Reminder options require their own access. Ask an administrator to review your role.

Make sure you are connected and still signed in. Close the palette, reopen it with Cmd+K or Ctrl+K, and try again. If the problem continues, report the search value and the page you were on to Cetec ERP support.

No. Normal search is designed to find supported records. Use @nav to find pages you are permitted to open. Results from @nav are limited to site header menu pages.
